別体用フロントエンドアッシーをまた入手。

過渡期すぎる部品はあまりにもどがっこいい。

 

このシリーズの記事、4年振りに更新した。

4年前と今とだと、見える世界が全然違う。

良い意味でも悪い意味でも。

 

またぼちぼち始めるよ、コレ。

５５年のT100R用のフレームってebayに出てるけど、

なんか違わないコレ？と思ったらスモールユニットの500

エンジンが乗るようにモディファイされてるみたい。ちょっとおもろいね。

こへさんのエンジン乗るじゃん、コレ。 意味不明だけど。

 I found the rigid frame on eBay and the title says

 "Triumph Pre Unit 1955T100R rigid racing frame"

but doesn't it look weird? It seems that it has been modified to take a unit 500 motor.

mmmmmm......kind of interesting.

T100project

Bought the top and bottom yoke for pre unit last week.

The part number of the bottom yoke is H785.

The top yoke is H380 which was used on many Triumph models.

The H785 should be for T100R.

I didn't know until I received them but

the size of the handle bar clamps is 7/8".

I had never seen the H380 yoke having 7/8" clamps.

According to the T100R parts list, this top yoke should be for T100R 

but I'm not sure if this yoke is exclusively for T100R.

Anyway, I'm just lucky, I guess.

T100R engine is listed on eBay now!!　Unbelievable....! 

I thought this engine was for 1957 T100RR at first but it could be for T100RS?

 This engine is one of the most hard-to-use parts in Triumph parts...I think...

It might be a waste to use the engine in a custm build. It's going to be very high price

for chopper or bobber anyway. However, it is very hard to build a correct T100RR(or RS) right?

Who's going to buy this? 

The number of my T100RR frame is pretty close to this engine number btw...

本物をチョッパとかボビーとかカスタムに使うにはもったいないし、

カスタムベースとして買える値段のエンジンじゃないでしょ？

かといって、本物のＴ100ＲＲ(もしくはＲＳ)なんて造れないでしょ？

買う人は相当限られてるんじゃない？ 

僕のＴ100ＲＲフレームと番号が割りと近いんだよな・・・。

仮に僕が買ってもマッチングにならないでしょ～？やっぱ使いにくくね？

ちなみにＴ100ＲＲのガスタンクが以前eBayで＄1500くらいでしたね。

うーん、知識欲が刺激されるね、こういうの見ると。

最近例年のごとく霜焼けが酷くて

バイクになかなか触れないのが残念です。

幼稚園の時ぶりに、霜焼けが割れるくらい酷いです、今年。

because I have really bad chilblains as usual.

ウワサをすればなんとやら。今日、T100RとT100RRの工場記録と仕様書のコピーが届いた。

かなりハードコアな内容。できれば目を背けたい・・・。

What a hardcore documents they are! I'm so lucky to get them!

僕はキリスト教ではないのですが、高校、大学がキリスト教関係でした。ふとある言葉を思い出しました。マタイによる福音書７章７節に「求めよ、そうすれば与えられるだろう。捜せ、そうすれば見いだすであろう。門をたたけ、そうすれば、あけてもらえるだろう。」という言葉があります。 諦めず真実を求め続けていると、結果はついてくるものです。改めて実感しましたね。 当たり前な言葉に聞こえますが、意外と、「どうせ・・・。」と受身になりがちな普段の生活にカツを入れてくれる言葉ではないでしょうかね。
